Fever vs. Wings highlights: Caitlin Clark-less Indiana team spoils Dallas' late comeback
DALLAS (June 27, 2025) — The Indiana Fever (8-8) achieved a 94-86 road win against the Dallas Wings in front of a sold-out crowd of 20,409 at the American Airlines Center on Friday night. This victory marked the 100th career win for Fever Head Coach Stephanie White.
Indiana sustained its double-digit advantage throughout the second quarter, with Mitchell contributing nine points and Boston adding six, ending the half with a 56-43 lead.
In the third quarter, the Wings began to trim the Fever's lead, narrowing it to just five points despite strong performances from Boston and Mitchell. The Wings gained their first and only lead of the game with 5:13 remaining on the clock, but Indiana’s defense allowed no field goals from Dallas in the final 4:50, holding the home team to merely four points from free throws. Meanwhile, Natasha Howard, Aari McDonald, and Mitchell combined for 12 points during that period to reclaim the lead and seal the victory.
Aari McDonald made her first start with the Indiana Fever and the 30th of her WNBA career, finishing the game with 13 points and 6 assists.
Indiana recorded 33 points in the first quarter, the highest total in a quarter for the Fever this season.
The 56 points scored in the first half match the fifth-highest total in Fever history for points in a single half.
Kelsey Mitchell reached 500 career rebounds, becoming the fourth fastest player in WNBA history to achieve 4,000 points, 500 rebounds, 500 assists, and 500 three-pointers made.
Mitchell ended the night with 32 points, extending her streak of double-digit games to 16, having scored 10 or more points in every game this season.
She is now the third Fever player this season to surpass 30 points in a single game, joining Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark.
In her first game back in Dallas, Natasha Howard achieved a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds, marking her third of the season and the 51st of her WNBA career.
Head Coach Stephanie White celebrated her 100th win as a WNBA head coach.
