Reneé Rapp announces headlining tour ahead of new album

A Broadway actress who has transitioned into a solo pop star is gearing up to hit the road with her performance.

Reneé Rapp, who gained fame for her portrayal of Regina George in the Broadway production of "Mean Girls," revealed on Monday, June 23, that she will be headlining her own tour.

The artist, who has recently emerged as a breakout figure among Gen-Z thanks to her role in "Sex Lives of College Girls," is set to begin a 16-city tour starting on Sept. 23.

This announcement comes just before the eagerly awaited release of her second album, "Bite Me," on Aug. 1.

Rapp, 25, debuted her latest single, "Leave Me Alone," which will feature on her forthcoming album, approximately three years after embarking on her solo music journey.

Drawing on her powerful vocal abilities honed during her Broadway career, Rapp embraces a more emotive singer-songwriter style in her solo projects. Her music explores themes of heartbreak and shares an authentic and vulnerable lyricism with fans eager to connect with her beyond her well-known roles.

In 2023, Rapp launched her first full-length studio album, "Snow Angel," and has since been nominated for best new artist and Push performance of the year at the MTV VMAs.
